I woke up the other day to the youngest saying, "Mommy, its really raining out." I opened my eyes to take a quick peek and was shocked to find, not rain, but SNOW! It doesn't snow much here in Portland so we were all super excited. Haydn went into the closet and got everyones snow pants and gloves and we ran outside.
I guess some would call this a "dusting" but there was enough to make snow balls and snow angels so these girls were happy.
It made me realize how much I miss the snowy winters that we had on the east coast and how this might have been the first snow that Maggie will remember. We do have Mount Hood, so we can always get to the snow. In fact, I am beginning to think that a winter vacation in a snowy cabin might be what we need. Just to get our fill in.
